Sometimes it just takes someone to show confidence in you and your life can change. That was the outcome for Lacie Malcomson, Zonta Club of Brisbane’s 2019 Kingston College Education Bursary winner.

Lacie returned to the club as a guest at our monthly dinner meeting to give us an update on how she was going: it has been a journey for Lacie who was a young mother who returned to Kingston College to finish her education.

She gave the club an update on her journey in life, education and employment and the importance of the bursary to her successful outcomes. Lacie also noted the importance of having a mentor who she found in club member Anne Landsberg.

Supporting women to have an education in high school, higher education and university is a key aim of the Zonta Club of Brisbane – having an education is vital to women and girls leading safe and successful lives.
