Tour of the New Woman Exhibition at the Museum of Brisbane

Eleven guests, including members, former member and friends participated in a most enjoyable guided tour of the New Woman Exhibition at the Museum of Brisbane followed by lunch at the Shingle Inn.

The exhibition includes a portrait by former Club member and portrait artist, Lola McCausland of Dame Annabelle Rankin who was the first woman from Queensland elected to parliament and the first woman to become a federal government minister.

The exhibition was hosted by Sallyanne Atkinson AO, Club member and Chairman of the Museum of Brisbane who added so much to the tour because of her personal knowledge of artists and those who were painted.
