Meet Our 2024 Winner

The Zonta Club of Brisbane’s inaugural winner of the local Women in STEM Scholarship was Marguax Edwards, a QUT student in Mechatronics Engineering at QUT with a passion for robotics & mentoring girls in RoboCup competitions.

Divya studied a Bachelor of Engineering (Software Systems) / Bachelor of Mathematics (Applied and Computational). With a keen interest in cloud computing and machine learning, she hopes to use these technologies to develop creative solutions for real-world challenges.

Her current research focuses on using high-performance cloud computing to predict experimental outcomes with CRISPR-Cas9, a powerful tool for genetic exploration. Divya actively pursues professional development opportunities and gives back to her community through research programs, industry bootcamps, and volunteer work.
